Saliendo de Tepic, tome la carretera federal núm. 200 con dirección a Compostela.

Una vez aquí, seguir hacia Las Varas, unos 37 km, y a nueve kilómetros al oeste, por un camino pavimentado, encontrará la playa de Chacala con casi un kilómetro de largo y 40 m de ancho.

La playa tiene un oleaje moderado, arena de color dorado y fina textura.
